Religion and American Culture books focus on the history of American religion and its influence on American culture. While the primary emphasis of the series is historical, including denominational and trans-denominational studies, investigations of religious voluntary organizations, and analyses of the social history of American religion, the editors also encourage the submission of biographies, works of missiology, and manuscripts that focus on the significance of race, gender, and class in American religious development, as well as interdisciplinary studies and studies of religious folkways.
