Library of Alabama Classics

The Library of Alabama Classics was inaugurated in 1982 with paperback reprint editions of Stars Fell on Alabama by Carl Carmerand 90° in the Shade by Clarence Cason, and the series continues to make important and enduring books on the history and culture of Alabama available in durable and reasonably priced editions. In 1992, the Alabama Library Association awarded its Citation of Merit to The University of Alabama Press for the Library of Alabama Classics series.
